They will work with existing agents Cushman & Wakefield who have acted on behalf of Ask Developments for the last 18 months, and who recently assisted in securing the sale of the first phase of the development to Prestigic Holdings for around £9.3m.
Peter Skelton, Director at Lambert Smith Hampton’s Manchester office will lead the team alongside the Cushman and Wakefield team, headed up by Tony Bray, Head of Business Space at C&W’s Manchester office on the project.
The £110m new urban business quarter at Ashton-under-Lyne is well underway and will provide 280,000 sq ft (26,012 sq m) of high quality office space with retail and leisure amenities totalling 400,000 sq ft (37,160 sq m) as well as extensive new public realm.
Pennine Care NHS Trust has already taken occupation of its 27,000 sq ft office space and Tameside and Glossop Primary Care Trust have announced that they will relocated to the scheme.
Russell Worthington, Development Executive at Ask said: “We are delighted to welcome Lambert Smith Hampton on board. Their excellent track record and experienced team will create a formidable partnership with our existing agents Cushman and Wakefield, who will provide short, medium and long-term strategies for St Petersfield.”
Once complete, the scheme, which is being delivered through a public/private partnership between Ask, North West Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and English Partnerships, has the capacity to sustain almost 2,000 jobs and will have attracted private sector capital investment of over £42m.
