Developer Wins NW Property Company Of The Year At 2007 Estates Gazette Awards

Manchester-based property developer Ask Developments has scooped the award for Property Company of the Year in the North West at the 2007 Estates Gazette Awards.

Ask Developments was shortlisted from a number of property companies in the North West and the final decision made by public vote throughout the month of June. Ask received hundreds of votes to win the title within the region, beating off competition from Bruntwood and Urban Splash.

The award, sponsored by NAI Erinaceous, was presented to Ken Knott, Chief Executive of Ask Developments at the Great Room of the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, in front of a 1400-strong audience.

Ask has a property portfolio of over £2.5bn with £110m of completed schemes under its belt, including Deansgate Locks, Rossetti Place and Bauhaus in city centre Manchester, as well as One Central Park and Fujitsu at Central Park business park in east Manchester.

The multi award-winning developer has around £78m of schemes currently under construction including St Petersfield in Ashton-under Lyne, and a further £1.7bn of development sites including Exchange Greengate in Salford, Central Spine and the former Boddington’s Brewery.

Ask also works in partnership with seven of the ten local authorities in Greater Manchester and in Sheffield, South Yorkshire on a number of mixed-use and leisure schemes.

Ken Knott said: “It was fantastic to receive this award voted for by fellow members of the property sector and we are immensely proud. Ask has worked hard to develop trust based relationships with clients, suppliers and backers alike and this award is therefore testimony to those partners all of whom share our commitment and vision.”
