Shoppers in Urmston will be able to enjoy a cuppa at Costa Coffee as of Bank Holiday Monday, when the brand launches its latest UK store.
The franchise will be run by Simon and Tracey Vardy, who operate a further six elsewhere across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
“We started looking at Urmston as an option for a store in 2005 before work started on Eden Square, but we couldn’t find a suitable site. When we heard about the development, we jumped at the chance to get involved.”
“We’re looking forward to getting to know the local community and are very excited about the store design.”
The new store will employ around ten staff.
Trafford’s executive councillor for economic growth Mike Cornes added: “Attracting such high profile businesses to Urmston demonstrates that Eden Square is a development companies are keen to invest in. I look forward to further confirmed retailers opening their stores in the coming weeks and months.”
