Now open at Number One First Street, Broderick's Love Coffee are serving up first class fare for the city centre, not to mention the coffee made-to-order by the nation's best barista.
A Manchester-based company, Broderick's Love Coffee already runs an award-winning concession in Terminal 2 of Manchester Airport. Now they're opening two new concessions at Number One.
While the luxury cafe in the atrium is solely for the use of the building’s occupants, a further concession in the customer service centre is open to the general public.
Over 1000 Manchester City Council staff have recently moved into the building, and will occupy 140,000 sq ft of Number One while the three-year £175m refurbishment of the Town Hall complex takes place.
Led by barista, Hannah Davies, who was recently been voted the best in the UK, the coffee house will serve up a variety of beverages including brewed coffee, teas, frappaccinos and fruit smoothies. Fresh food is also prepared on-site by trained chefs, with a menu that includes sandwiches, paninis, cookies, muffins, brownies and cakes.
Broderick's was set up in 2008 by the UK's leading independent vending company Manchester Vending Services, who have nearly 40 years experience and expertise in the refreshment industry.
John Hughes, Director at Ask, said; “We’re delighted to have such a popular coffee house operating at Number One First Street. With the public realm due to complete this summer, Broderick’s adds to First Street’s unrivalled offering to both staff and members of the public.”
Company Director Peter Broderick said: “We’re very pleased to be operating within Number One as it’s a great location, with such a high number of visitors. Having been operational at our Manchester Airport branch since 2008, we are looking forward to providing customers with high-quality food and drink in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.”
Located on the southern edge of the city, First Street spans across 20 acres and includes the first major new pedestrianised thoroughfare in the city for many decades. First Street Manchester will be an 18m wide, 300m long boulevard connecting the community of Hulme through the Mancunian Way to the Hacienda site on Whitworth Street West.
