Ask is partnering Bury Council to create this outstanding £80m mixed-use development, which will contribute greatly to the town’s regeneration by providing new public services, offices, retail and leisure units including a hotel, city centre-style apartments and extensive public landscaping.
The scheme will provide a sustainable urban development in a unique location opposite Bury Town Hall and 40,000 sq ft of high quality offices set within the vibrant mixed-use quarter will be home to Bury Council.
Bury Primary Care Trust will operate from a new 50,000 sq ft state-of-the-art medical centre with a ground floor Lloydspharmacy and superb health facilities including two new GP surgeries, paediatric consulting, midwifery, health visitors, speech and language therapy, orthoptics, occupational therapy and podiatry.
Recently it was announced that Six Town Housing, the arms length management company which manages the housing stock on behalf of Bury Council, will take a 20,000 sq ft building which gives a total of 155,000 sq ft pre let, on site and scheduled for completion in the spring of 2010.
Masterplanned by architects Carey Jones, the development will also boast new major public landscaping, including a new pedestrian link from the site directly onto the existing Metrolink platform, a 110-bed Premier Inn hotel including a restaurant and Costa Coffee, residential apartments, and 400 car park spaces.
