Ask is partnering Bury Council to create this outstanding £80m mixed-use development, which will contribute greatly to the town’s regeneration by providing new public services, offices, retail and leisure units including a hotel, city centre-style apartments and extensive public landscaping.

The scheme will provide a sustainable urban development in a unique location opposite Bury Town Hall and the first phase of development is now complete.  Bury Council will soon be moving in to their new 40,000 sq ft high quality offices and Bury Primary Care Trust will operate from a new 50,000 sq ft state-of-the-art medical centre with a ground floor Lloydspharmacy and superb health facilities including two new GP surgeries, paediatric consulting, midwifery, health visitors, speech and language therapy, orthoptics, occupational therapy and podiatry.

A 400 space public car park has also been completed as part of the phase one works and is now operational.

The second phase of development is now underway which comprises new office accommodation for Six Town Housing, the arms length management company which manages the housing stock on behalf of Bury Council, and a 115-bed Premier Inn hotel including a restaurant and Costa Coffee.  Completion is scheduled for spring 2011.

Masterplanned by architects Carey Jones, on completion the development will also boast new major public landscaping, including a new pedestrian link from the site directly onto the existing Metrolink platform and a brochure for the scheme can be downloaded here.
