The Romans brought Manchester to life almost 2000 years ago by founding a settlement in Castlefield which has since become Britain’s first urban heritage park, turning a once neglected wasteland into a flourishing conservation area. 

An innovative concept by the directors of Ask brought Barca to Castlefield - designed of the highest quality and with a unique appeal.  A simple yet incredibly effective concept converted vacant railway arches into a thriving new bar/restaurant which since it opened in 1997 has remained one of Manchester’s favourite leisure destinations. 

There can be no doubt that Barca made a spectacular contribution to the regeneration of Castlefield.
