The £43 million transformation of Urmston town centre will spearhead the regeneration of this up-and-coming suburb, generating a thriving retail centre and creating new jobs in the community,
The former council offices and adjacent vacant units have been demolished to make way for the new mixed-use scheme which will provide 40,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space including a 50,000 sq ft Sainsbury's supermarket, as well as a new public library and 28 new shops.
To add to the vibrancy of the scheme, 144 one and two bed apartments are being developed by Ask's residential arm, Ask Life. The first phase of the apartments sold in around 2 hours, and the second phase comprising 80 apartments are now available. For further details visit the Eden Square website www.askedensquare.co.uk.
Ask and its development partner, Trafford Council, held extensive public consultations and exhibitions on the plans, which are set to provide the town with a 21st century environment that reflects its character.
